Animals are not humans! It's a human nature to be omnivorous. If the animals are grown on farms and killed painlessly, there is nothing wrong with it
The world is cruel.
A mother lion needs to kill a zebra to feed her kittens. And meat is the best source of protein and fulfilling appetite
absolute ********. the amount of space, food, water and time we use to rear one cow i GUARANTEE would provide much more in crops. something like one acre of land can provide tens of thousands of pounds of vegetables and yet could only give you a few hundred pounds of beef.
anyway, i doubt this would happen. people are too selfish.
But how many people does a cow feed? A lot. Not the case of vegetables. You make no sense.
Well, then let's stop agriculture too and go get crops with our own hands your logic...
I'm not talking about crops. You can reap most vegetables and fruits with your hands and eat them right then and there. The most natural thing in the world.
I might not be here for this to happen because I'm used to eating only meat from local farmers I personally know and trust, but still, I feel like humans will never 'illegalize' it. Maybe in the future more people will avoid eating meat, but it will never be forbidden.

the point is that the same amount of space used to rear a cow would easily allow us to grow crops that i GUARANTEE would feed more people than the cow. that's not even taking into account the fact that animals are inefficient at turning energy into usable meat, and the fact that animals require a ridiculous amount of water and time to be reared too.
people underestimate just how much it takes to create a pound of beef. it's not a case of waiting a few days for a calf to mature and start seasoning itself.
I will never understand the mind set of those who eat meat. You have literally no inherent need for it yet you choose to eat it and thus in the process fund and show your approval of the continuous murder, rape, and suffering of innocent animals that, contrary to what some users in this thread may think, do feel physical and emotional pain as shown by a number of studies and, more bluntly, by their screams, literal tears, and the fear in their eyes, all so that you can satisfy your damn taste buds. That's not even bringing up the immensely devastating environmental impact factory farming has had and continues to have on our planet, the amount of literally starving people throughout the world that could be nourished with plant food if we gave them the feed we give to farm animals, and the toll eating meat and other animal products is taking on our own bodies. Is it really worth it? The obvious answer is no, but of course there will still be those that defy logic and put their taste buds over all this actual reasoning.
I can't imagine not eating meat (by the way I eat mostly chicken and fish, not beef)
It's the best source of protein by far
If I eat beans, I'm gonna get gases and indigestion and fart a lot
Once we went to a vegetarian restaurant and my stomach was so gassy, while my appetite wasn't fulfilled
Vegans, how do you eat?

Save me from this life of meat eating sis I was vegan for 3 months, vegetarian for a year, pescaterian for a year but I always crumble. Send me your diet plan I have strong will power I know I can do it
I don't think it'll be illegal, per se, but the way we consume meat is bound to change. Animal agriculture is just not going to be efficient for a growing population (not to mention how much it contributes to climate change via methane etc.), and we need to be looking ahead and investing more in lab grown meat as it is the future
maybe not illegal but not as prominent as it is now. the methane contributions and the vast amount of water and food used to raise livestock is way too wasteful. artificial meat is a good idea though.
