exactly how I felt when i listened to it the first few times. not that I also want to have it played during my funeral, but I do feel the emotional undertones u mentioned. it's produced as if it's meant to be this major club banger but there seems to be something that holds it back. a big part of it is the chord progression, every sentence would start with a major chord and end with a minor chords. A -> C#m, B -> F#m. The decrease of the tempo when it reaches the chorus added to this effect too.

well literally it's about partying and how the night is still not over we can still get twisted and wasted or whatever. but somehow I feel like she is lying to herself. she's reassuring herself that it's still not too late, but deep down inside she knows it already over but couldn't bear to admit it. if we generalize it, it might not be just about partying, maybe it can be about life, or a relationship in general.
