Top 40 Albums of the Decade
And we return with yet another update for my decade-end albums! I appreciate all the comments thus far, and keep em coming.

Now we enter the next section,
#20 - #11. Enjoy.

Justin Timberlake - Justified (2002)
- Probably one of the few amazing male artists of today, Justin makes his first appearance in my Top 20 with his debut solo album
Justified. I think this album is pretty underrated. People know it mostly as his first solo and the hot singles, but the album is deeper than that. Pharrell continues his amazing work while
Timbaland productions suck besides the highlight "Cry Me A River"...which also produced with Scott Storch. Besides the fact, the album is a great mix of pop/R&B and a nice transition from N*Sync.
Top 4 Tracks:
1) Cry Me a River w/
Timbaland
2) Let's Take a Ride
3) Rock Your Body w/Vanessa Marquez
4) Last Night
Mariah Carey - Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel (2009)
- MiMi's first of two appearances start with her 2009 album
Memoirs. I swear this album is pretty much flawless. I played it so much to determine if it was just a one time thing, but it clearly isn't since I still play it today. Featuring some of most vocally flawless tracks in AGES, it also contains nothing but that R&B that we love to hear her sing. Something a lot of her albums this decade didn't hold was the coherency, while this and the other appearance does. Great job Mariah.
Top 4 Tracks:
1) It's A Wrap
2) I Want To Know What Love Is
3) Insperable
4) H.A.T.E.U.
The All-American Rejects - When the World Comes Down (2008)
- Never did I think The All-American Rejects would please me outside of catchy singles. Then again it is one of their albums I could sit through and I loved it. From beginning to end of
When the World Comes Down, I never want to hit skip or anything like that. Each track holds some meaning that honestly I couldn't tell you what the hell it was. Just I like the feeling! Who knows, maybe these guys have a future as one of my official favorites.
Top 4 Tracks:
1) The Wind Blows
2) Damn Girl
3) Fallin' Apart
4) Another Heart Calls
Avril Lavigne - Under My Skin (2004)
- Lavigne makes her first and only appearance with her epic sophomore album
Under My Skin. Never had I been so in love with this chick. The album was personal, fulfilling, just everything. I remember making my Mom go buy it at 6am the day it came. Really hope this Avril comes back from that ******** that was her 3rd album.
Top 4 Tracks:
1) Nobody's Home
2) How Does It Feel
3) My Happy Ending
4) Fall To Pieces
Janet Jackson - All For You (2001)
- Janet's only album appearance due to the fact out of the 669484 albums from her this decade,
All For You is the only one worth mentioning...and it's PERFECT. Out of my record of knowing Janet it's one of her most Pop records and she does it well. Also enjoy the minimal whispering here. Oh the days of Janet, Terry, and Jimmy. Thanks for the album Janet. I don't think anything can top the epicness of "All For You", even from Janet's own singles discography. It's so epic. Oh well, I might not really mean that but you all know exaggeration, no? K!
Top 4 Tracks:
1) Trust a Try
2) All For You
3) Son of a Gun (I Betcha Think This Song Is About You)
4) Feels So Right
Britney Spears - Britney (2001)
- Britney finally makes her next appearance with her third album
Britney. The album at the time was the biggest thing Britney was doing for me. Yeah, I loved OOPS! but this album/era just took my soul. Especially with the sultry club ready "Slave". The album was also a huge improvement in the mature factor, with Brit talking about more real topics. IDK, I loved it! Oh and nothing will ever top "Slave".
Top 4 Tracks:
1) I'm A Slave 4 U
2) Lonely
3) That's Where You Take Me
4) I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman
Lady GaGa - The Fame Monster (2009)
- GaGa drops in for the second and final time with her sophomore
Fame Monster. This album is pretty flawless. Like, really. The darker tone compared to the preceder is evident and I really loved the concept of how she wrote about everything she was experiencing with fame. Though it's only 8 tracks, it's 8 tracks of greatness. Even the originally horrible "Teeth" is getting better.
Top 4 Tracks:
1) So Happy I Could Die
2) Monster
3) Bad Romance
4) Telephone w/Beyoncé
Britney Spears - Circus (2008)
- Britney appears yet again for the 3rd time with
Circus, her 2008 "comeback to stardom" album. The album is pretty safe and features some clean cut pop productions and of course catchy lyrics. Luckily Britney knows how to work any project given to her, so her contribution that way helps the album even more. However, she better get back on track with the next album.
Top 4 Tracks:
1) Circus
2) Unusual You
3) Womanizer
4) Blur
Mariah Carey - The Emancipation of MiMi (2005)
- Mariah's final appearance is with her big 2005 comeback album
The Emanicipation of MiMi. This was probably one of my favorite albums of that year. Just like Memoirs the album possess a coherence and features a strong R&B prescene which is Mariah's stronger side, in my opinion. It also features some of her best songs. Just like Usher, this was another album my Mom couldn't put down..but I didn't mind.
Top 4 Tracks:
1) We Belong Together
2) Mine Again
3) Joy Ride
4) One and Only w/Twista
Justin Timberlake - FutureSex/LoveSounds (2006)
- And JT's final appearance with his second album
FutureSex/LoveSounds. I love this album particularly due to his sudden change. Going from pop/R&B to electro-pop/dance in the 4 years of a break shows his true artistic side. This time around DANJA (

) takes control with the number of productions, giving you nothing but musical bliss. Please return to music soon, bitch!
Top 4 Tracks:
1) SexyBack
2) What Goes Around.../...Comes Around
3) Losing My Way
4) FutureSex/LoveSound
