1) Faith is overrated and Sarah Michelle Gellar did a better job playing her than Eliza Duskhu in Season 4 episode.

2) David Boreanaz is not a good actor and Bangel was a boring and awkward couple.

3) I really think making Spike a main character made the show go downhill. The excuses not to kill him so that he could be kept on the show were ridiculous. I remember Riley staking Spike in an episode and then after the commercial break, it was just a plastic stake.

4) Riley wasn't that bad and I liked the storyline about his being insecure around Buffy, but the story to write him out was dumb. Why on earth would he voluntarily go to vampires to give his blood? His explanation about wanting to understand Buffy's fascination with vampires is dumb.

4) Darla is underrated. They did a great job developing her character on Angel and Julie Benz was perfectly cast.

5) They should have ended the show with season 5. The finale was perfect. "The Gift" is one of the best episodes of a TV show I've ever watched.

5) Dawn was annoying and she felt useless after season 5. If they wanted to continue the show after season 5, she should have died in the season 5 and the next season should have been about Buffy dealing with her calling destroying everything she loves.

6) Season 6 is bad and season 7 is terrible. The "potential slayer" thing was stupid.

7) I loved Joyce. I wish they used her more and other recurring characters like Amy.

8) It's hard to get people into Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The first season wasn't very good. It doesn't pick up until Halloween in season 2.

9) Angel is a much better show overall, especially the first 3 seasons. It just doesn't have the peaks that Buffy has or an interesting character and actor to lead it.

10) Buffy started going downhill in season 4, but I still like the season. Joss was becoming less and less involved and you could feel it.

11) You can see how much impact these shows had had on others. There are so many copy cats and even the formula, writing, etc. are copied by other shows. Shonda Rimes said something about how Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel influenced her.

I'm halfway into S2 and there is so much filler. I'm on the edge of dropping the series. I even wanted to start Angel during Buffy's 4th season.

I think nowadays It's hard for the new generation to get into Buffy. I was so young when I watched It on TV. It's my whole adolescence.

Buffy changed the TV landscape. Most iconic show ever.

You should start Angel during Season 4 of Buffy

The show goes into the actual arc by mid to late season 2. It's worth watching. And overall Angel is a better show so I'd just keep watching just to get watch both shows together.

I rewatched all of Angel last year and let me just say WHAT A ****ING SHOW!!! Season 5 was particularly epic with Fred and Cordelia dying and the Spike episode where someone insists on dragging him to hell . Let me rewatch the whole series again tbh.

Buffy slayed too, and it has aged soooooo well. A true timeless classic

The thjng about Buffy and when people I've tried getting to watch the show didn't understand is that it features heavily on the villain of the week segment type setup, so people think it's filler or unnecessary, but it's how it is.

But anyway, I loved the Buffy/Angel crossover. Still upset at Willow being weak af in season 7, but I get it. I never knew that Faith actually escaped from Jail with Wesley to fight The Beast and help try and restore Angel's soul. I never watched Angel as much as I did Buffy. I'm watching the latest season of Angel now with Spike, Harmony (she's Kween, by the way) and when Fred turned into Illyria.

Meh. I never liked Dawn tbh. After The Key storyline ended, she was pretty much useless. She had no potential (pun intended) and the producers probably realized that which is probably why she was pushed to the side.

They should have killed Dawn off in season 6 and the potentials were a stupid storyline. The show jumped the shark after The Gift. It was the perfect series finale.
