With Spotify you can stream all the music on there easily for free (the ads aren't that horrible). What artists are making money in that equation? Yes, I'm sure huge artists like Beyoncé don't really need a couple extra dollars from your pocket, but lots of other artists really could use it. Obviously this isn't ideal for the consumer, but for the people selling music it is.
i'll pass since i don't haven earphones or speakers that can play for me to tell the difference. Good luck though, they're really gathering all the star power
This is just like when all the movie studios tried to launch their own streaming services and yanked their stuff down from Netflix. This will end badly
You know what, yes, it's greedy. That's capitalism for you. Businesses want your money and they're not ashamed about it. You all be so naive to think that companies just want the best for the consumer.
I like how artists that are fighting for more money are the ones that don't need it. I would understand if indie artist came out and said something, but for people like Jay-Z and Beyonce to be this money hungry. It's just obnoxious.
It's weird how half of y'all cry about how dead the industry is and why your faves can't sell, but then stuff like this happens and y'all bitch and whine just about paying as low as $10 (the price of less than 1 album) per month over free to ensure they actually get proper coins.
The fact that they think they are relevant enough to get 40 million people to switch over to their service is kind of hilarious and disgusting simultaneously.

!!!! And you're talking about who's being greedy when you won't even get out ten dollars for all the music you could wish for. Yet so many of you will buy your fave's album for more than ten dollars MULTIPLE TIMES.
