Beck's album is better in the sense that it does bot capitalise on faux activism as self-titled did, it's simplu the man and his music.
I guess the Grammys were able to see past Bey's charade of feminism and all that. I mean did you expect the album with a song that puts down people like Bow Down would win?

Personally I didn't care for any of the albums but we all know that the Grammys are messy. Y'all need to move on and stop letting a bunch of lazy white men ruin your year.

What I'm getting from the fuming hive is that she should've won for being black. They keep throwing "innovative" around but what's innovative? The surprise? No. The fact that it's visual? No. The fact that she's exploring and expressing her sexuality? That'd be fine if she wasn't in her 40s and she hadn't just had a kid.

MESS at people who probably didn't know Beck until the nominations or last night saying that his album was the Album of The Year and deserved it over Beyoncé. If so, then why isn't Beck's album as critically acclaimed as Beyoncé's? Why didn't Morning Phase top more than 4 year-end lists, while albums by Run The Jewels, The War on Drugs, and St. Vincent topped over 10 year-end lists by major publications? All of a sudden everyone who is anti-Beyoncé, loves Beck and Morning Phase, but those same people probably can't even come up with a logical reason to why Morning Phase is better.

Because his album is much better than Beyonce's. Beyonce was lucky to even be nominated. And Beck write his own songs, Beyonce didn't write any of the songs on her album
