Any '21' hype she had is literally gone now. She's not even gonna open with 1M, let alone 2M+ like people were predicting. Such a shame, too. She literally had the record in her grasp and she just turned her back on it like it was nothing.
Everyone may laugh, but how would you like it if your favorite artist in the entire world, someone you adore and have spent a lot of money on to support, completely shut you out for a few years so they can "live a little bit"? Adele Tweets once every few months, if that. Ever since she first became pregnant, she's kind of shut the Daydreamers out, and she won't even say anything about new music. I mean... How would you feel if you were in that situation? I don't care how well this record does commercially. I miss her so much and I just want to hear her beautiful voice again. It's not fair that we've been clinging to false hope for four years in hopes that she'll finally release something, but she never does.
The label is obviously trying to recreate 21. Which will be a very difficult thing to do. But the longer they take, the less it will do well. People are starting to forget about Adele.
I'm not surprised. She probably has writer's block or something from all that pressure. I honestly wouldn't release anything else after that kind of success either. Retire at an all time high.
I see where she's coming from, 21 was huge and brought in the money, she doesn't have to work ever again. Anything she does now will be for fans and not for herself, which may not be easy for her.
