Look at it like a continuation. Like Paparazzi/Telephone.
If Chandelier was her fending for herself in an empty house -- with absent parents -- here Shia could represent her father trying to make amends. Whereas before she had the run of the house, now there's a controlling male figure in her life, and she's clearly glad to have him back (playful fighting etc) but she resents the cage he's put her in. She grows up and escapes the cage, and it pains him to see her going -- so she comes back and is forgiving, but he still isn't a good father and can't follow her
