♫ The countdown for the best country singles will begin. 15-11 will be revealed early this morning, 10-6 later today and 5-1 will be revealed by Thursday! Enjoy!♫
♫ Sugar Rush's Best Country Songs of 2014 ♫ #15 - #11
#15. Maddie & Tae - Girl in a Country Song
This song is what country radio needed. It may be ridiculous the lyrics, but every word in this song is true. Any song that burns Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton and Thomas Rhett within it certainly deserves to make any year end country song list.
#14. Luke Bryan - Rollercoaster
Rollercoaster shows a side of Luke that is much more serious. Perhaps it is the closest song to showing off Luke's vulnerability. Either way, the slowed down production and simple and relatable lyrics makes it an enjoyable listen.
#13. Dan + Shay - 19 You + Me
Their harmonies are everything. The lyrics describe a man reminiscing about his teenage years and the girl he fell in love. It's another cute ballad that is simple and very enjoyable to listen to at all times.
#12. Brett Kissel - Something You Just Don't Forget
Brett sings about moments in life that stick to you in life no matter what. Being a later release, this can reappear next year on the list. Maybe it's because I'm in a place in my life that I have so many memories with my current boyfriend that I feel will stick together, but it really speaks to me. Brett is a talented Canadian singer/songwriter that I encourage everyone to listen to.
#11. Eric Church - Give Me Back My Hometown
After the disappointing lead single off his new album, he came back with this beautifully written song. Singing about an ex-lover that haunts him when he comes back home, the song is a sharply put together to keep the listener interested and wanting to know more about this story. Some may even want to find this girl who haunts Eric so badly.
Roller Coaster was pretty aight. My friend LOVES him, so everytime I go out with him, Luke will always be playing. That kinda ruined it for me.
This is really the only Luke song I can listen to on repeat. It was kinda the song that described my relationship with my ex. It's weird, you'd think that would make me despise the song but it kind of makes me content with knowing that part of my life is over.

Girl in a Country Song is really a cute song. Rollercoaster is a such a sweet song , I actually prefer this one over Play It Again. Oh, I almost forgot about 19 You + Me, love that one as well.
So I thought I'd leave a little hint about what the remaining songs are. The top ten consists of eight songs by female artists, one song by a male artist and one song by a male/female collaboration. As well there are two artists with multiple entries in the top ten on this countdown. One of country's leading ladies has no solo entries on my year end country countdown which may come across as a shock to many people. Who is it? Stick around to find out.

"Rollercoaster" got such a poor reception on here after it was announced as a single. and it's admittedly not the strongest single choice, but still a great song! Agree with you about it being easy to listen to, I've caught myself accidentally listening to it on repeat a few times.
Like the other four songs too, especially Give Me Back My Hometown
♫ Sugar Rush's Best Country Songs of 2014 ♫ #10 - #6
#10. Tim McGraw - Meanwhile Back at Mama's (Feat. Faith Hill)
It's just the simple lyrics, and the visuals you get when listening to this song that makes it so incredible. There's just a great amount of warmth to this song, it soothes you and can't help but make you feel calm. It is certainly Tim's best single he's released since his glory days.
#9. Sara Evans - Slow Me Down
I feel everyone is at this point in a relationship at least once in their life. Sara sings about how she's ready to leave and unless her partner comes and tries to slow her down as she leaves, than she won't be coming back. It is a perfect blend of pop and country, and Sara has never sounded so confident on a record before.
#8. Kacey Musgraves - Keep it to Yourself
Kacey is a master lyricist and portrays the hurt everyone feels when an ex lover moves on. The mood is depressing, and her voice can't help but make me feel the hurt she's feeling. It's a lovely song and deserved a lot more success on country radio, but hopefully with her picking up all the major awards she'll soon be a force to be reckoned with.
#7. Miranda Lambert & Carrie Underwood - Somethin' Bad
It may not be the strongest single each released, but you can't help but want to get up and dance to this song. It has an arena-rock sort of vibe to it. For what this song's goals were, it succeeded. It wanted to be a fun song that wasn't meant to be taken seriously. It'll easily go down as a staple in both artists' discographies.
#6. Lee Brice - I Don't Dance
I want this song to play at my wedding. Lee took a common quote and was able to write a masterpiece around it. It's just a beautiful song that has shown Lee's growth as a songwriter.
