No. Everyone's career is different. Madonna had Like a prayer in her 6th year, Katy released ROAR in her 6th year.

Katy can be the new / rising queen of pop, but "following steps of someone else" is not going to be the validate point you want to make.

And the Lady Gaga / Cyndi comparison is awful. Lady Gaga's impact is way bigger than Cyndi. Lady Gaga had 3 hugely successful albums with countless smashes, not just 2.

He is shading both Katy and Madonna. I believe he likes Gaga better than either of them, but somehow this opinion is stuck with him for so long... Lady Gaga was on top for more than 50% of her career. If she releases another smash album, I am pretty sure there will be no other queen, whereas right now we have Queen of Pop Rihanna, Queen of Pop Katy, QUeen of Pop Taylor, Queen of Pop Beyonce I am wondering why didn't we have all these queens of pop in 2009-2010-2011, 2012 ? Katy still hasn't proven she's got a loyal and steady following and her "success" is somewhat inconsistent but her team still pours $ into her non-stop to create the illusion that she's a legit superstar.

Whilst madonna is the biggest female artist she wasn't always massively ahead of Whitney, Mariah or Celine throughout her career. (I actually think whitney's first three albums were way bigger), She just outlasted everyone else and adapted incredibly well to consistently maintain relevant. Anyways I'd say Rihanna is the next "madonna" (although katy is very successful too), although nobody will ever take her place as queen of pop.

Rihanna or Katy is the new queen of pop, I see Rihanna more as the next madonna. Definitely not Taylor, I don't even know why her stans are trying, debuting with 1M 3x doesn't make you the new queen of pop, Taylor's fanbase is just dedicated af. Love all of them tho
