I semi-agree with this. I think that geographically all continents should be taught the same way around the world, for instance Europe and Asia should be taught as Eurasia, while North and South America should be taught as the Americas, although this would be a bit more controversial since some people argue that North and South America are in fact separate continents that are only joined by the Panama Canal. Cultural differences are a problem, since Asia and South America are perceived by some people as "inferior" since they're not as developed or advanced as their neighboring continents, which makes it hard to attach them. However, I think linguistic differences should be accepted, in the case of Oceania/Australia it's the same continent but with a different name. In the case of the Americas, I disagree with most South Americans saying America is the name of the whole continent in English, I think that "the Americas" is a correct translation from "América" in Spanish, since "America" in English is long established as the country's name.
