Their early estimates are not always right. The estimates when the album actually gets released are almost always right though.

Yes. I can think about MMLP2 the early prediction was 700k and it ended up selling 792k copies..

Nnn Blurred Lines was the biggest hit ever and his album did like 170k. Let's not act like hits = album sales. Look at Carly Rae and her two hits, which ended up with Kiss bombing.
