"If You See Amy" has the potential to be bigger than "Womanizer" & "Circus".

Um, Circus is not going to sell 4 million this year CarCAL.
I am hoping for something like
2008: 2,200,000, 2009: 3,500,000 .... Since they'll count just 2009, Circus will stand at the top 10. But if WE count the overall sales. Circus is a definite top 3.

And ooh, let's just be happy with Britney's domination right now, at least
MOVING ON, Kelly's new album is going to do better than Circus ... Don't jump tp conclusions, I am talking about 2009, Circus sold 2 million in 2008. So in 2009 Kelly will be the big seller.

Release has NOTHING to do with anything. American Idiot was released November 2004, became best-selling album of 2005. Back To Black released October 2006, best-selling album of 2007 with 5.1 million, AND #2 album of 2008 with another 5 million. If she wasn't a mess and kept releasing it probably could've sold enough to surpass Coldplay.
Seriously.

Release does have an effect ****face. 2 miilion of Brtiney's sales were last year and thus will reduce her chances of being no.1 for this year. American Idiot didn't sell well in 2004 because it's lead single didn't sell well or promote the album well. Boulevard of Broken Dreams was the reason the album sold so much, and that didn't take off until 2005. Back to Black was released in the UK in 2006, it didn't start selling really well until jan 07 and it was released elsewhere aswell in 2007. Unlike the US, sales in the UK remain steady fir a long time

You still make no sense. American Idiot still sold over 3.8 million in 2004 before going into 2005 with the actual hits. And Amy doesn't matter since the album STILL was released in a previous time and was able to achieve #1 and #2 positions in 2 different year-ends after that release.
And if you want to bring singles into it, Circus has potential singles that can very well make the album continue to sell world-wide. So you're basically saying the 1st single has to be flop and/or has to be released in only a limited amount of countries, then expanded, to be the #1 album of a year? WOW.
And you still didn't say how you felt about Beyonce?

Are you on drugs???
More than what she has already sold on christmas time? NO WAY ... The album's sales are going down slowly worldwide.
And the tour will NOT help the album sales... TRUST ME. The opposite, when she'll be on tour, she will completly forget the 3th and 4th single promotion.

It will sell over a milli this year for sure. If "Circus" rises and "F.U.C.K." smashes then it could easily sell twice that much.

Some of you are so thick. Circus is at the moment the best selling album of the year. It will eventually fall from that position.

I don't think Beyonce has any chance of being the best selling album this year. She's generaly not as popular worldwide as Britney. Also, Single Ladies and IIWAB have already heavily promoted her album whilst with Britney, Circus still hasn't really taken over from womanizer yet. When it does Britney's sales will possibly pick up a bit. Also with regard to amy winehouse, her sales picked up due to the fact she won Brit awards in 2007, and grammy's in 2008. Awards won't have the same effect on Britney's sales. I think she'll still sell well, but not the no.1 selling album of 2009

It will probably end up some country gimmick or a stupid Disney act.

As usual, everyone is missing her.
Circus will probably sell great but Funhouse will probably top Circus's sales.
Though, we can't really predict it.
Look @ Duffy, could someone predict her great sales back in 2007?

maybe, but i really dont see any other singles off her album become big worldwide hits...
I think Britney Beyonce and Pink will all end up in the 4,000,000-5,000,000 range in the end for overall sales. (which means would all sell at least 2,000,000+ this year)

I kinda thought the same when I wrote my post, but she's already like @ 2.6m+ mark.
Her sales are great WW, same as Britney and Beyonce...We'll have to see, we can't really predict it.

What happened to Beyonce being "only a local star"? Looks like she could be a threat to Britney worldwide hmm?

Beyoncé has sold 1.5 million in the US and 900,000 outside the US. The bulk of her sales come from the US.
