Really? Whenever us Xtina stans try to bring up her past success all you guys can say is "That was over a decade ago!! The last time she had a solo number one was 15 years ago!!! The last time she had a solo top 10 was over 5 years ago!!!" as if that negates any success she's had yet y'all will sit here and bring up old ass receipts from the exact same time period for Britney and claim they're legit while Xtina's receipts from that time period aren't. It doesn't make any damn sense and you know it.

So really her peak was between 99 and 01, but she was still majorly successful up until ITZ. The thing is I NEVER hear the Army discuss this because they're too busy bragging about the first 2 albums.

Not to mention Britney was a touring force as well. But again, they focus on the first two albums.

all while xtina has had a bigger hit than most of the girls in 2014. There will always be people like that, they deserve to be payed dust. Theres people that argue Katy is declining because he last #1 was 4 months ago

I suppose, but as a whole with pure "OMG It's Britney" and her being everywhere, I think they were huge, but admittedly not as big as BOMT or Oops... I like posters like you who actually remain civil, explain your viewpoint and understand others' points of view

I never said that, but let me entertain this comment for a sec. Didn't Britney decline during her 1st 6 years? Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Britney's album sales continue to drop after her 1st album? Doesn't decrease in album sales = decline, or am I wrong?

And Bey's career has been as long as Britney's, yet her last album is outselling her 2011 one.

Most of those people had long careers and lasted more than 5 years. Most are also naturally talented. I didn't know Britney fans could bring up past achievements though, i don't think its a big deal.

Also its an overused excuse but really her knee injury threw her career off the track. If she had promoted Blackout and Circus like she did her other material she would have 6-10 million more albums sold and 20 mil more records. Her promo the last 7 years can be counted on your hands and toes. no shade tho.
