Look at how poorly J.Lo ranked in almost everything compared to the others and she "topped" it. This list is really worthless but do.

I'm hoping Bey is #1 but Top 3 will do. I still don't understand how this list works bc I recall J Lo topping it recently despite earning less than a few people and ranking lower than others in some categories

It would be odd. I'm just saying that all of the pop stars being discussed (Bey, Rih, Gaga, Katy, Taylor, Adele) have a good chance of placing on the list. You said in your original post that people were just saying their faves, but really all of our faves will be there.

Unapologetic was dead by July and she had no hits in the time period of June 2013-June 2014 (or at least none that big) sans The Monster right? The Diamonds World tour gross is also sliced in half since half of those dates came before June.
She'll still place high but she doesn't have as much going for her as she did last year. She'll probably be top 20 (still top 10 isn't out of the question).

Why would gaga be in the top 5 or top 10?
Where's the endorsements,albums sales? All the media attention has been negative.
Miley has a better chance in being in the top 10

Considering Gaga was #2 last year, I would say Gaga being in the Top 50 this year is a fair prediction. I was only asking a question, there's no need to go below the belt. I'd hate to report you

Her press and social ranks, combined with more endorsements, should make up for a lack of hits.

I don't see how those would increase/stay the same given she had Diamonds, Stay and Unapologetic aiding her before (2 massive hits and a hit album is tough to topple with only one feature hit and What Now/Right Now which never did any big damage for her standards).
I guess it's just up to how they weight it, cause some of their rankings are.  #8-20 would be my prediction.

Rihanna won't be in the top 5, she will rank somewhere btwn 8-15. She will rank high in social media/media

In my head, she'll dominate the press and social categories again (Miley might edge her out here though), and her increased endorsements (MAC, River Island, Budweiser, Balmain) along with the tour earnings should secure her a higher spot than last year (#13). But who knows?

She rarely does endorsements and that has never kept her from being on the list. I don't know where she will land, but people doubt her every year and she pops up in the top ten, which proves yet again how deluded ATRL can be when it comes to the power of certain popstars. Not to mention she was one of only three musicians who landed on Forbes' Powerful Women list and she did that without endorsements, "album sales", and with negative press. Press is press, negative or not, and power isn't reliant on album and single sales. You guys can say what you want about Gaga, but when she talks, the world listens.

The only issue with the endorsements is that Forbes doesn't know exactly how much money she makes from them so they don't always factor them in. Things like endorsements and touring deals, like Madonna and Gaga's $100m+ contracts, are sometimes completely ignored.

Katy will probably rank high in social media because of Twitter, I say top 5, maybe even top 3. I predict she'll probably place in the lower half of the top 10 overall, possibly #8 or 9
