It takes 50 countries to match up sells from one country. Which do you think is Superior?
Your argument is dumb. The United States alone is home to over 300 million people, which is nearly half of the population of the entire European continent. What difference does it make whether it's a country or a continent when they're appealing to similar amounts of people?
The fact that she can release annually and still sell at least 3 million albums worldwide in today's climate is a feat in itself.
All i know is that she's sold more albums, singles, and overall records than some other albums atists solo careers WW
There is NO such thing as a Worldwide Market. So stop. She's sold more records in the U.S than any other country in the world. How about this lets remove the U.S "local" sells and number 1s from her total than.
It takes other artists 7 albums to do so. But in total career numbers she's not seeing it

Those other artists have to drag their eras for as long as 3 years and release 10+ videos, whereas Ri cuts every ear short within 10 months and still sold more singles, albums and overall records WW

GGGB, 8 - 2.8 = 5.2 million
RR, 3 million - 1.1 = 1.9 million
Loud, 6.5 - 1.7 = 4.8 million
TTT 4 - 1.1 = 2.9 million
Unapo 3.5 - 1.1 = 2.4 million
Compare that GLOBAL slayage to struggling to sell 2 million albums in the US. Again, it is basic math, and 2 millions are hardly matching up Rihanna's worldwide numbers.
But if that is not enough for you, Rihanna's sales in the UK:
GGGB 1.8 million
Loud 1.8 million
She can sell almost the same amount in another market. Which isn't the #1 market and still sell more millions elsewhere. Something other so-called album artists CANNOT do.
It's a no brainer. 3/6.5 million albums & 1 million in the US vs 3 million albums & 2 million in the US.
Which do you think is Superior?
They teach this kind of stuff in kindergarten, 6.5 >>>> 3.
Easy, it's so much fun to scalp the HIVE.
No but I do think the US is too prudish and conservative for Rihanna that's why most rather buy a Taylor Swift/ Adele album than a Rihanna album.
...which is why someone as non-conservative as lady gaga has a 4x platinum album, and someone as offensive as eminem has two diamond albums. right.
also i think she used to be, which is why GGGB only made it to 2x platinum, but her sales are pretty consistent even in a declining market, so she's doing ok

Not at all. You all sit on here talking about this "global" and "local" thing as if the U.S. is not apart of the world, which doesn't make any sense. If you have match up several different countries sales up to ONE it's Superior.

Now break down the sells from EACH country and see if they match that ONE country numbers

Even then, Ri would still be more global, because she has sold more overall WW. Rihanna haters make it too easy
Maybe in the US. I've never Heard of her in my country
Umm no. Your confusing celebrity and sales with what is actually legendary and impactful.
Avatar is the highest grossing move of all time. However are we really gonna sit up here and lie and say it's more iconic/impactful/innovative in cinema than:
. Citizen Kane
. Wizard of Oz
. Gone With The Wind
& The Godfather
The reason MJB is more influential and iconic PERIOD and worldwide is due to her contributions ot music. She DEFINES 90's R&B and is constantly anointed for a entire sub genre of music she POPULARIZED. By merging even closer the gap between hip hop and r&b, her sonic blueprint is followed by damn near every singer today. Her albums are cited as some of the most INFLUENTIAL AND GREATEST OF ALL TIME. I love rihanna but she ain't topping that kind of impact no matter how much #1's, and albums she sells. Matter of fact lemme give you a documentary so you better grasp how great MJB is:
P.S.: Having an entire segment dedicated to your influence on how you impacted an entire genres of music. Plus the documentary is from BBC you know not in the US but from europe.
