I mean album sales are in the pits. For Katy to sell both album and singles + streaming just shows that's she the biggest female music force in the industry.
Only 7 albums out of THOUSANDS of albums have sold over 2 million copies in the U.S since September 2012. Red, Unorthodox Jukebox, MMLP2, Babel, 20/20 and Frozen.
BEYONCE will get there soon too as well as The Truth About Love but still it just shows that out of thousands of albums released to even be near or eventually cross that mark is a huge accomplishment.
