It doesn't matter what she got paid. She still wasn't the protagonist which is the whole point of the article, the lack of black protagonists in 3D animated movies. There have been plenty of blacks in supporting roles, but none as a lead, the character with the most screen time and who the audience identifies with the most.

This is great and all, but it's starting to get the point where these achievements are so specifuc that everybody has one. Like, Dreamworks specific? The company has only been around 20 years. There are animated movies with black animated leads. Why does it matter that it is Dreamworks?
