and also he got THE ONLY grammy he will get in his entire life because of her, so in the end he should be grateful Lana didn't opposed against it more vocally.

Sure it gave more expose to her in the US, but that was IT, Lana was already pretty succesful before that remix.

It is nothing like the Born to Die experience and Summertime Sadness is one of the best
First listen songs on the album. Its embarrassing that the American Market received Born to Die this way.

I would have rather Summertime Sadness in its original form stall in the top 40 than the edm
Version go #1 for 10 weeks.

It isn't the song that I've enjoyed for two years now.

Airplay almost everything for the remix. Streaming: look it up yourself how many views the song has on YT and how much the remix.

How is that HE gave HER a hit? It's the other way around! Lana already had sold like 3m+ albums WW at the time, with Video Games, BTD, Ride and Y&B having commercial success in a lot of markets. Summertime Sadness hit #1 in Germany and Austria before the remix. Cedric, on the other hand, was a nobody, and now he's working with Miley Cyrus and other celebs and has a Grammy on his arms, just for adding some generic noise to a Lana song.

I like what she did. Staying true to her self. She never wanted a remix, she didn't like the remix and she can say whatever she want cause that's her song. She wrote that with pain and emotion and a DJ comes up and makes it uptempo? Na ah.. No way. The girl's standing strong for herself. Amen

Mainly all the airplay was from the remix, only a couple of POP station, and then HAC and AC played the original.

Streaming however, if you look at YT and Spotify, the original is way higher.

The original version of Summertime Sadness was higher on Spotify most of the time. The airplay for the remix was definitely higher though, most stations were playing the dance version.
