Tonight we will deny that time is passing by
It's leaving you and I to
Freeze the moment
It's never been better
Freeze all over
We won't last forever

"Freeze" is by far the best song on Jordin Sparks' eponymous album. It's like a more melodic "Say It Right", a more haunting "Good Girl Gone Bad". The track is so brilliantly crafted and is so different from the rest of her songs, it's definitely the direction she should go in the future. "Tattoo" might have led you to believe that she's a second JoJo, but it's not true, she's so much better, has so much more potential. Hopefully "Freeze" will soon be a single so it can take the world by storm.
When asked "what's wrong?" I answer "it's nothing"
The smile that disappears after goodbye isn't like me
The more I wish to believe, the more it hurts
You're more likely to say "I like you" than "I love you"
The flavor of life

The worldwide best selling single of the year, "Flavor Of Life" is another one of Utada's masterful productions. This Japanese-American singer is definitely the queen of the decade, and this year she has proven it yet again. The ballad version of "Flavor Of Life" is more popular, but in my opinion the regular version is much, much better. What makes Utada so amazing is that her songs are timeless, the melodies she crafts never get on your nerves. Even if you hear the song hundreds of times, it'll always be good. These days that's very rare, especially in the American music industry.
The person I loved long ago
Is to have a child in winter
Sometimes I just want to doubt
Our promises made long ago
I could never forget
I wonder if your New Year's card will have a photo
I just look back, and miss
All the things we could never do

Yes, it's true, my #6 of 2005 and #1 of 2006 is again #1 in 2007. "Passion" is probably the best song ever made, every second of it is absolute brilliance. You haven't lived until you've loved "Passion".
