Yep, but even the most casual of listeners knows what Beyonce is up to because she has mega status. From the Superbowl to the Grammies, love her, like her, indifferent, they
know. She makes it so they even know when her album has dropped and the whole world talks, while no one but a fan could ever tell you a Rihanna album was out.
Relying on casual listeners means Rihanna is in a much less stable position. Being known for showing up late to concerts, for lacking any creative control while holding onto mediocre vocals, none of that points toward longevity or forward thinking.
