Probably not the best record label to sign on but she could be their most important artist in the roster right now. They WILL promote JoJo. Imagine if she signs with the record labels of Gaga or Katy, she wouldn't be treated with importance.
The other big thing is going to be he management. Labels are only the source of money for manufacturing and such. They do get input, but it's also a managers job to get them promo and convince the label to pay for it. If she's with a terrible manager, it wouldn't matter what label she was on.
Finally! She's a fighter Can't wait for her album.
Atlantic recently launched two new female R&B acts, K. Michelle & Sevyn. Looking at their roster, they have a handful of successful urban acts. I think she's in good hands.
She could also have a bunch of songs already made for an album as well. I'm sure Atlantic will have a few ideas and make her record some new work, but she could already have quite a few tracks ready to go. If Blackground wasn't paying the producers then they don't own any of that work.

I'm sorry but I don't ****ing care. All I'm here for is her being free of that label. Anything is better than Blackground. I don't need her to slay, I need her to release music with budget. Her mixtapes are FIRE and what more if she had budget.
I've always been fond of Atlantic. They are a good mix with letting artists keep their artistic integrity, but also making them successful and marketable. I think this is a great label for JoJo to be honest.
