Pick your 8 favourite songs from ARTPOP or the 8 songs that fit the best, perhaps change a few songs to the iTunes festival version and you have an EP just as good as The Fame Monster EP. The problem is a few songs that just don't fit on the album: Donatella, Fashion!, J&D, (DWUW and Gypsy too eventhough they're pretty good songs). And a few songs that were changed too much and became worse songs - Swine, Aura.
ARTPOP, Aura (demo version), Venus, GUY, MANiCURE, Swine (SwineFest version), DOPE, Applause. There you have an EP which is almost as good as The Fame Monster and has a nice concept too.

In my opinion, yes. Born This Way is still her best album for me but The Fame only has 5 good tracks for me.

NO, Gaga has been doing this 'art' thing eversince the Fame era. However, she should stop putting it in the 'front' as she calls it. It's better when the gullible and close-minded people believed there was no substance, while the fans knew there was art. But tbh, let Gaga do her thing

Lots of excuses and effort to salvage a bad album by someone I don't stan for, sorry. The project she put out wasn't as good as her previous work. I don't care enough to think about what could have been or go look for unreleased material. But I don't agree for one minute that any rearrangement of songs from ARTPOP would come near The Fame Monster.

And you know it's all about success for most of the ATRLers. ARTPOP is a much better album than PRISM, and right before the predictions for the album sales came in a whopping 80% of ATRL (1000+ votes) agreed that ARTPOP is the better album. If you'd ask it now, after ARTPOP debuted with less than PRISM in the US and is selling less than PRISM, most would call ARTPOP a trash album and praise PRISM.

Sure they would, because now the hype is gone and people are able to judge ARTPOP objectively for the trash it is

I think you're misconstruing ATRL to feel better about writing off our opinion of ARTPOP. It could go diamond and I still wouldn't like it. If you like it then by all means do you— it's still more successful than any era some of my faves have had. Just don't imply that I don't like it because it's not successful. I prefer Prism.

Excuses for what? ****** songs top the charts all the time. I doubt the music quality is the only reason why Gaga isn't doing so well.
