Besides, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are Independent artists meaning they made a ton of money off their success this year.

Thrift Shop and Can't Hold Us are both huge, huge hits and pretty memorable too. Beyonce is already a massive star with tons of wealth and status, is a couple million really gonna make a huge difference? No. I don't think that thread Vin started was meant to be shady or anything, he just meant that singles are what leave a lasting impact. If BEYONCE fails to span any hits (XO is going to be a huge hit, though, people are way too rash), then it would go down as a very successful record but outside the people who bought it, nobody is going to remember anything from it.

Anyways, this whole argument is stupid. I do think BEYONCE is going to spawn not just 1 hit but multiple.

Regardless, Beyonce made a lot of money in a short period of time just with an album. She doesn't need single success.

Also when people say "Pepsi footed the videos", it could have been apart of her contract or she used some of that money she got from them.

The whole thing is that, it shouldn't matter because it doesn't change the fact Beyonce made back almost 30 million in less than two weeks with one album
