OMG We'll be coming back!!!! That's my favorite song ever, my 2 faves together, it was my #1 from 2012! And agree, should have been single in the US, it's better than the other songs except for Feel So Close
Out of my league, afraid, love me again! Loved this set

Thanks for your comments!/Gracias por sus comentarios!
090. Enjambre-“Camara de Faltas”
Enjambre is one of my favorite Mexican bands because it mixes a singing style reminiscent of singers from the 70s like Jose Jose and contemporary rock pop. "Camara de Faltas" is very typical of them and I enjoyed it quite a bit.
089. Major Lazer featuring Ezra Koenig-“Jessica”
Much has been said about Major Lazer and their Bruno Mars-featured track Bubble Butt but I enoyed Jessica a lot. The lyrics are depressing but so enjoyable! It has a retro feel and it doesn't sound EDM at all. Ezra's Spanish and German abilities are questionable, though.
088. Mumford & Sons-“Lover of the Light”
Amazing music video but bad promotion. Lover of the Light shows a more pop side to Mumford & Sons but the track stands out in 'Babel.'
087. Tame Impala-“Elephant”
The cellphone add kind of ruined this track for me, but nevertheless its grandeur is undeniable.
086. The Lumineers-“Submarines”
My love for The Lumineers didn't stopin 2013. Their album is amazing and I liked the animated music video for Submarines.
085. Icona Pop-“Girlfriend”
What I like the most about Icona Pop is their singing style. The subject matter of this song, friendship, is also magic in itself.
084. San Cisco-“Awkward”
I'm always late to discover Australian alternative acts. San Cisco reminds me of Vampire Weekend and The Kooks, but has an Aussie feel to it.
083. Lady Gaga featuring R. Kelly-“Do What U Want”
I'm sad that so far this has underperformed in Billboard but I liked it quite a bit. Artpop in my opinion seems to have better singles than Born This Way.
082. Avicii & Nicky Romero featuring Noonie Bao-“I Could Be The One”
King of EDM Avicii and fellow DJ Nicky Romero created this amazing track, while its music video was just a statement of how unhappy we can be. It snatched the number in my weekly charts and the UK!
081. Cro-“Whatever”
I don't listen to German rap pop ("raop") often, but when I do it's by a guy with a panda mask that destroys a car in this music video.

080. Lorde-“Team”
Lorde is a year younger than me and has done so much. She entered the music industry unexpectedly with a style that we haven't quite seen, a mixture of urban sounds with a pop and alternative touch. I identify with Team because I have lived in small cities that won't ever be in a big screen.
079. Lily Allen-“Hard Out Here”
Men and women are not as equal as we may believe, as women can't be as sexually active as men without being called names. Luckily, Lily came back with this song to denounce this. Ironically, it wasn't this song the one that reached number one in the UK but a Christmas-inspired Keane cover.
078. Sara Bareilles-“Brave”
For many, this was some kind of lesser "Roar," but I enjoyed it. Not the best Sara Bareilles lead single but at least her album got a Grammy nomination.
077. Bastille-“Things We Lost In The Fire”
Bastille was another new artist of 2013 that I loved. Things We Lost In The Fire has a mystic feel to it and is catchy!
076. Phoenix-“Trying to Be Cool”
I'm not into Phoenix's older stuff but Trying to Be Cool doesn't need to try to be cool, it is cool! Very nice rhythm!
075. Imagine Dragons-“Radioactive”
The American public loved this song to death and it even got to the top 3 in the Billboard Year End Hot 100. It was a rather moderate hit for me and I hated the music video (which was racist in my opinion) but as a song it will remain for ages to come.
074. Of Monsters and Men-“King and Lionheart”
They were the stars of 2012 and in 2013 they released two more singles, one of which was King and Lionheart. The music video is reminiscent of Little Talks and the female singer reminds me a tiny bit of Bjork.
073. Mika featuring Ariana Grande-“Popular Song”
We can discuss all day whether Mika, Nate Ruess or Brandon Flowers are the new Freddie Mercury but Mika also has a pop side to him that I liked. Ariana Grande joins him to mock all the kids who used to bully Mika.
072. Belinda-“En La Obscuridad”
Latin pop princess Belinda went EDM in her latest album, and this song was a standout! The controversy surrounding its music video (which inspired from Rihanna and J.Lo and supposedly used fake views) doesn't take away the quality of this song!
071. Paty Cantu-“Suerte”
I'll be honest, ever since Paty went bubblegum pop I love her even more. Her looks and music are much nicer than when she was heartbroken. Suerte was another defining hit for her, but not as big as 'Goma de Mascar.'

070. Phillip Phillips-“Gone Gone Gone”
This American Idol winner has been slaying lately and that's amazing because I love his folkish style. His career is very promising and I want him to do something with the Avett Brothers, The Lumineers or Mumford & Sons.
069. Los Bunkers-“Si estas pensando mal de mi”
Chilean band Los Bunkers have always fascinated me, and their most recent single is no exception to the rule. This melancholic song talks about insecurity and how we tend to react so bad to criticism.
068. Stromae-“Papaoutai”
Just when everyone thought Stromae was a one hit wonder, he came back with this song which immediately did amazing things in the French charts (which in my opinion are one of the hardest markets to win, along with the US). Papaoutai is about Stromae's missing father and is very catchy despite its subject matter.
067. Neon Trees-“Lessons In Love (All Day, All Night)”
Showing some consistence, Neon Trees hasn't been absent from my charts since their top 10 year-end hit "Animals" back in 2010. Lessons In Love is perhaps not very innovative but it is catchy and cool to listen to.
066. Hello Seahorse!-“La Flotadera”
This is probably the most pop sounding song Hello Seahorse! has made and it is excellent. Dennisse is an alternative goddess in Mexico and this song is good to dance to.
065. Alabama Shakes-“Hold On”
Vintage-sounding and full of energy, the Alabama Shakes delivered this amazing song in 2012 but I paid attention to it at the beginning of 2013. A band to watch, definitely!
064. Imagine Dragons-“On Top of the World”
With a music video that (funnily) suggests the moon landing was a fraud, this song is one of empowerment and helped keep me focused on my goals, such as losing weight while keeping my grades up.
063. The Mowgli's-“San Francisco”
I thought alternative radio would eat up this band but they ignored it. I guess they sound too much like GROUPLOVE and Youngblood Hawke but San Francisco was pretty cool.
062. Haim-“The Wire”
If we talk about contemporary rock music, few girls are involved in the genre. Yes, everyone can name Amy Lee and Hayley Williams, but Haim seem to be the girls that are about to dominate the rock scene. US Alternative radio seems to be ignoring them the same way they ignored Lana Del Rey but expect them to achieve Lana-sized success despite this. The UK and Australia already love them.
061. Demi Lovato-“Heart Attack”
Demi came back with a quality single that everyone can sing along to. (And she shows Miley that you don't need to twerk to get rid of your Disney image).

060. Demi Lovato-“Made in the USA”
Demi again! This song was underrated. Yes, it was generic but very good for a generic song.
059. Passion Pit-“Carried Away”
Catchy alternative song, cutest music video ever....can we ask for anything else in music?
058. Muse-“Panic Station”
I hated Madness but Panic Station is great. Perhaps too pop for Muse but hey, I enjoyed it and its crazy music video a lot.
057. Los Amigos Invisibles-“La Que Me Gusta”
Venezuelan band Los Amigos Invisibles delivered this cute pop song and a cool retro music video earlier this year and it rocks! I expect their future singles to be as good as this one!
056. GROUPLOVE-“Ways to Go”
Oh, GROUPLOVE. Flawless music video, incredible vocals. Not as good as the perennial Tongue Tied but Ways to Go is amazing in its own.
055. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis featuring Schoolboy Q and Hollis-“White Walls”
This song is about Macklemore's cadillac and his love for it. Simple but good, and Hollis has such a cute voice. My "Boys Like You" (360 feat.Gossling) of 2013.
054. NONONO-“Pumpin’ Blood”
A Swedish band with an infectious whistling song. Great to run with! I feel like they're going to smash in May/June but we shall see their future success.
053. Ed Sheeran-“Lego House”
Ed's music is very enjoyable, as shown in his Lego House ballad. I think I'll like him better now (he already has a top 20 in my year end charts, so you go ginger!)
052. Walk Off The Earth-“Red Hands”
Their second song to be featured in my charts after their guitar cover of Gotye's biggest hit, this song's vocals may remind you of Youngblood Hawke and The Mowgli's. A nice pop song that unfortunately only smashed in Canada.
051. The 1975-“Chocolate”
This band developed its unique style that I can't quite decipher but I really like. Their imagery reminds me of The Neighbourhood or The Script, but their alternative pop isn't quite like anything out there.

Awkward is so cute! I love that song.
DWUW is one of my fave Gaga songs, her best imo since Telephone. White Walls is an amazing song, one of the best from The heist
Passion Pit, Demi, San Francisco!! Great set

050. Paramore-“Now”
When I first heard Paramore was coming back, I got really excited. Yes, they did change their style from pop punk to alternative pop but that doesn't matter, Hayley still has flawless vocals and this song is amazing nonetheless.
049. Fall Out Boy-“My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light ‘Em Up)”
Another return that people were waiting for, Fall Out Boy's lead single was really catchy and brought back the emo pop punk wave that we all loved in the 00s. Their style didn't change as much as that of Paramore, so fans were okay with it.
048. Panic! At The Disco featuring Lolo-“Miss Jackson”
And yet another emo return, Panic! At The Disco amazed me with this song about a suspicious woman whom someone loves anyway. (I don't know who that Lolo girl is but she should at least bother to find out whether her artistic name is already taken. An Argentine musician from the band Miranda! is already called Lolo, and has a cool guitar).
047. Arcade Fire-“Reflektor”
The Arcade Fire fever reached me with this amazing song. Perhaps too long for radio, Reflektor had an incredible music video and as a Francophile I loved Regina's French lyrics in it as well. Long live Arcade Fire!
046. will.i.am featuring Britney Spears-“Scream & Shout”
Britneybot and will.i.am make their appearance at 47! Last year, they charted at 68 so I guess that if this song was released at a better time, it would've been top 20 in my year end charts (this is a situation similar to 'Firework' by Katy Perry).
045. BB Brunes-“Aficionado”
I'm an aficionado of the French language and culture, and this French gem was a number one in my weekly charts. Casual and soft, BB Brunes are one of France's hidden treasures.
044. Avicii featuring Salem Al Fakir-“You Make Me”
Great vocals, nice video game inspired music video and Avicii always delivering an orgasmic beat. This year was the year of Avicii, can't wait for Hey Brother to smash next year too.
043. Phoenix-“Entertainment”
With this Asian-inspired song Phoenix won my heart again. It is catchy and very fun to listen to, though the music video wasn't that great.
042. C2C-“Down the Road”
Another French band! This one uses sampling to create a very unique song to dance and sing. I wish alternative radio would've given it a chance!
041. Cage The Elephant-“Come A Little Closer”
This song is pure alternative perfection. The guitars may be reminiscent of the nineties but are very contemporary, the vocals are one of the best in rock music (according to me anyways) and the music video promises to take you to the sixties.

040. Lorde-“Tennis Court”
The new queen of alternative strikes back with a minimalist song and music video that nevertheless won me so easily. Lorde is a genius.
039. Kings of Leon-“Supersoaker”
This song will be considered one of the best of the decade, I am sure, as I have never heard anything so authentic and good since the Black Keys' 'Lonely Boy.' This deserved to smash more than Use Somebody but it isn't exactly pop candy.
038. Sportfreunde Stiller-“Applaus Applaus”
The second and last German song of my charts, Applaus Applaus was a nice pop rock song that I listened to as if it were in English, loving the "sch" sound of the German language.
037. Alt-J-“Breezeblocks”
Another minimalistic alternative track, Breezeblocks had amazing instrumentals, lovely vocals and what I liked the most, a change in mood that makes it flow really well. Notice also the abnormal pattern! I'm glad it went top 10 in Billboard's Alternative Songs chart.
036. Jenny & The Mexicats-“Me Voy a Ir”
Imagine this: a British girl goes to Spain and learns Spanish, meets a dude and then they travel to Mexico and meet two guys there and they form a band that plays Latin music with a pop touch. It doesn't stop there: they get recognized at first by the alternative scene in Mexico and then pop radio plays their music like crazy. One of the best music stories of the year, Jenny & The Mexicats' "Me Voy a Ir" is something that I usually wouldn't hear but that remains as one of the best 40 songs of the year nonetheless.
035. Capital Cities-“Safe and Sound”
I discovered this just a couple months before pop radio played it, when it was in the top 20 of Billboard's alternative charts, and I fell in love with it. Catchy and with nice vocals, I loved its llama music video more than the newest one.
034. Coeur de pirate-“Wicked Games”
When my favorite artist does a cover of one of the most critically acclaimed R&B singles of the recent years (by The Weeknd) I cannot avoid falling in love and getting multiple eargasms.
033. San Cisco-“Fred Astaire”
San Cisco again, this time with a retro ode to celebrity Fred Astaire. I feel like going to New York in the early rock era when I hear it.
032. Passenger-“Let Her Go”
This was smashing in the UK when I found it and I loved it a lot. Sweet lyrics, but not as sweet as Passenger's voice.
031. Enjambre-“Elemento”
I love the vocals in "Elemento." Perhaps Elemento has all the typical elements of an Enjambre song, but somehow it managed to stand out as an alternative ballad that was in replay all the time for me.

WAIT, I just realized I put Jenny & The Mexicat's picture instead of Coeur de pirate's. This is the right image:
Edit: I just realized I could edit posts. I'm a failure at technology.
