Yet another debut album, this time from Nickelodeon star Ariana Grande. Her voice is amazing, and it does resemble Mariah's but yet it's unique. It's nice to have a new pop girl on the scene, even though her album is a bit towards the R&B way. It's also very interesting and about time that a power vocalist gets to shine in todays music market.
Fave tracks: Honeymoon Avenue, Tattoed Heart & Right There.
Third effort in three years. The sound is the same, but it's slowly transforming to a rockier and more arena sound (which is perfect for their new tour, which I am attending). There isn't really much to say, other than the fact that it's good catchy music.
Fave tracks: Right Now, You & I and Little White Lies.
There was a lot of fuzz about ARTPOP, how Gaga was supposed to incorporate art and pop. Some say she failed miserably, some say she succeeded. But overall, it's a nice pop album. I don't see any real ART, though, but it has a couple of really good songs, and a few not so good.
