The place he is staying at to "seek help" looks like a vacation spot. He is going have problems when he gets older. Just by the way he looks he has issues.
The victims are all suing the family in civil court and they will easily win.
In America, the more money you have, the more you have to give up in lawsuits. So the idiot's family is gonna have to dish out millions to all the families. I hope a higher power can overturn this sentence as well and give that idiot a proper sentence.
Psychologist G. Dick Miller testified for the defense that Couch suffered from "affluenza," a condition in which "his family felt that wealth bought privilege and there was no rational link between behavior and consequences," KHOU reported.
To be completely honest, there is more to the reasoning of the verdict. than what most of you think. It is VERY expensive to provide jail time to anybody and the endless appeals that probably would have followed this decision if the sentence was more severe would have been costly as well. The treatment facility he is probably going to be mandated to attend will not cost the government anything and will probably be a similar set up as a psych ward. The probation then assure that if he does happen to break the law again his punishment will be much more severe. I still would have just said jail time though because I believe its so horrible.

Well, if you want to get away with murder in Texas all you have to be is wealthy and claim "affluenza". An epidemic comprised of ********.

I knew Brian Jennings growing up in Burleson and he and his family deserve better. So do the other victims.
The judge needs to be investigated for allowing that defence. And what the **** @ the jury who actually bought this ******** defence, I mean how dumb can you be?
Yup this happened here in Dallas are in ft worth. Everyone was dragging him and the system on Facebook.
Is really sad he's getting away with it. If he would've been black or Hispanic and poor living in the hood would they let the guy get away because he's a victim of the ghetto environment he lives in??
