Sent! I'm glad I participated, I actually did NOT have to listen to new music for a chance. Either way I think True was the best out of the 4 albums but that's probably because its length kept filler out of the way. Sky's album was my personal 2nd best: it's a very coherent body of work, yet every track adds something new to the mix, something Charli's album struggles with in my opinion, as some of the tracks were not necessary at all (So Far Away/How Can I). Night Time My Time also impressed me because at first it didn't feel like a debut album (a 3rd rather) but she actually cleverly refers her past personas, for example with catchy hooks or 80s-inspired synth-heavy production. Icona's album was the worst one by far: they wasted a LOT of potential because of their one cute little hit single. Their Swedish debut was way superior.
The #1 song is currently sitting at a gorgeous 9.44 average. One of our contenders is dominating most of the top ten. With 4 days left, I'm wondering if things are going to shake up.
Swear I forgot about this. Lemme get in. XCX might need some help
Hmmm.
Just a friendly 3 days left reminder!!! I have 17 votes and hope we can at least get to 20 by the deadline, if not, more. Let's see if y'all stampede me with those last minute votes.
The best part of Charli's Take My Hand is the last 30 seconds from the album version (not in the video version) so I'm kinda conflicted on how to rate it. It's not the best track either way, but... idk.
I actually liked Icona Pop's album a lot. It's nothing groundbreaking, but they deliver some catchy dance tunes and keep it interesting enough throughout.
While obviously the weakest album of the four, TI... Icona Pop is still solid overall. I'm not all about the sudden EDM wave but I really like it (and I Love It is flawfree tbh).
Glad to see the spark in discussion in here! Any predicted/personal top tens? Just a couple days away!!!
