Haha...yes. Certainly too much for pop/chr radio but Urban Adult Contemporary has really embraced it and spins at almost that format alone got it to #66 on the Hot RnB/Hip Hop Songs chart

The reason she has the financial backing to release so many singles off her albums, just like Nelly Furtado for example, is because people are snatching up the album still. Most artists are having trouble moving units and she is still posting impressive sales almost a year later. You better believe this is the business model of the future in the music industry. Albums like Rihannas are lucky to push platinum because they only have a few good singles and then filler. Strong albums nowadays are determined by the strength of their respective 3rd and 4th singles and beyond. She announced when BDAY was released that it was a focused 10 tracks that could potentially all be released as singles...shes just making right on her word. The labels are the ones who are desperate: desperate to make money off the few artists who still make money while others crash and burn. Rihanna and her are playing two very different games with the release of material.

Based on its airplay which is the answer to requests becuase it hasnt gone for adds or been promoted as the official single yet, people are not only not ready to be done with her or her singles, but they really likie GMB. Its reached the #9 spot on the billboard Hot RnB/Hip Hop Airplay chart...WITHOUT PROMO! She released a video for the BDAY Anthology, yes, but it has only recieved a week peak of 5 spins on BET and 1 spin on MTV because only singles get promoted to A-playlist status...look for the video to get heavy spins soon!

Its like, I appreciate Christinas AMAZING pipes, but I wasnt a huge fan of her album, and even though I think it will spawn some successful singles, I think GGGB is mostly disposable pop disquised as RnB. Ew this is like her worst single ever ... why didnt she release Green Light? Shes been so uninteresting ever since she did that song with Shakira, i actually preferred Upgrade U better than Beautiful Liar.

Its sad because Kelly needs all the publicity she can get and Bday is already over so theres no point in beyonce releasing anything anymore. Its like she just always wants all the attention.
