I love Christina, but yes. The album was clearly planned out by RCA to try to get her back into being a major pop girl. Christina herself barely promoted it. Clearly, she wasn't even here for it. It has some bops though.
Of course Azealia doesn't deserve to flop, but if she does, it's her own fault.
And I'm not an Iggy stan, I probably like Iggy and Azealia about the same... Iggy a little more, personality wise.
I really enjoy Lotus and I don't think it deserves to be called a bad album.
But hell yes it deserved to flop. You don't put effort in - you deserve failure. Albums don't magically sell themselves. She could have been much more engaged with the promotion process. A few tweets, random performances, no music video for the song she performed the most, no live performance of her lead single all while she was on one of the most popular TV shows at the time and in the eye of the media? She could have milked it. For whatever reason, RCA/Christina didn't. They weren't hungry enough, they deserved less than the best. That simple. She doesn't deserve platinum on word of mouth and luck alone, I don't think anyone does.
No and Yes. No because it's really good and I used to get my life from it every night. And I'm not even a stan.Yes because she was lazy and didn't promote it.
