Wow from a legal perspective, this is such a big mess. I didn't expect Blackground to keep retaliating so aggressively. Just freaking let her go and have her sign with another label.

I think what they are trying to do is they know she will probably get out of the contract but they are bitter as hell and want to hit her where it hurts and that's her pocket. They want her to take a hit monetarily paying for lawyers and legal team and wreck possible future endeavors with music. That's the only thing I can think of.
To be honest, I think Blackground wants to stretch this mess out for as long as they can, hoping to get the funds for releasing a record in the meantime, since JoJo is their only hope. I am also seriously wondering how they are able to afford this lawyer... Also, I ready about this Jethro Eisenstein guy, and apparently one of his lawsuits has been ongoing for 42 years... I am praying that this case doesn't turn into something similar.
