Anyways, for that problem you have to treat the the resulting electric fields as vectors and find the resulting vector through vector addition/subtraction. The magnitude for an E.F is
F= kq/r^2.
So yeah figure out the magnitude of each one and then taking into account direction, split the two electric field vectors into their horizontal and vertical components.
