The figure quoted in the OP is from a press release from Interscope Records, Lana's label and will be officially shipped figures (i.e. the number that has gone out of the door to retailers plus official downloads). I'm suspecting this is the combined shipped figures of the album and re-release. The figure you are quoting is from an unofficial site that 'guesses' at the sales WW to end users (there being no worldwide official body that tracks WW sales to end users). Thing is, the official figure quoted by the record company will probably have to end up on Lana's IRS form so it would be a bit foolish to inflate it.
So she sold 4.3 Million out of the US? True European Queen.
