The issue in this thread is that people think Gay people are promiscuous and can't last in a committed relationship without having a third-party involved. The things people are saying here against a Gay couple committing and getting married can be reversed and said about hetero marriages. Btw, heterosexuals have open marriages too you know. Forgive my generalisation, but the partying/promiscuous phase many gays go through is nothing more than that...a phase. Many mature and settle down just like the hetero's do.

They can just work or not work like straight marriages. There are gay men who can't be faithful...and there are straight men / women who can't be faithful. And don't forget that gay marriage includes gay women as well - and their relationships tend to be very long lasting

Sex =/= relationships, and by extension threesomes in marriage =/= open relationship. Marriage chiefly involves emotional and personal commitment, it's not just some thing saying "I will only ever have sex with you, ever, even if we both want to do the same other person".

Marriage is an institution defined by the participants.

Men aren't meant to be tied down in a relationship, men are made to put their seeds out to impregnate then move on. You see animals do that all the time, the fact that men are marrying is a weird concept.

Gay men are basically two men who want sex, so its easy to come to the conclusion that neither will be faithful and hence this thread
