The question isn't "Is Beyonce the PERFECT feminist", it's "Is she the biggest feminist icon of our generation".

Anyone saying she isn't it so obviously blinded by their own pressed attitudes. Y'all can bring up Cater 2 U as much as you want until your faces turn red, but the fact remains that no current icon does more for feminism than Bey does.

Certainly she did something that is arguably more powerful than what Beyonce did, but how many people know of her? There are perhaps more fashionable people than many fashion icons, but they aren't known. That's how icons work.

Well, Beyoncé started as an artist and she was already popular because of Destiny's Child, I'm sure she has supported feminism through her career but she never became popular for being a big feminist icon.

There are more females out there that are well known for being a feminist.

I think its well known that shes for female empowerment, independence etc but i feel like shes not thought of as a feminist by a lot of people, then again a lot of people still think feminism = misandry so maybe thats a reason

But the question isn't talking only about pop culture icons, it says "feminists icon" and that includes every popular feminist (since, let''s say '00s and this decade combined) out there, they don't have to be known in pop culture to be considered icons.
