but you're so far from correct.
The point you're trying to make in the OP falls down because of the numerous inaccuracies, reaches and bold faced lies it contains.
1. Everyone thought Rihanna was the new Nina Sky when Pon de Replay came out. Nobody thought she'd become a big popstar. Reggae/dancehall songs were already popular in early 00s before Rihanna debuted (Sean Paul, Beenie Man, Nina Sky, other one hit wonders).
2. Gwen Stefani, Xtina, Kelis as well as others before Rihanna were combining hair, fashion, and music as an overall look.
3. Hips Don't Lie is Latin pop/world music not reggae. Deja Vu is funk.
4. The dance takeover of American radio/charts that started in 09 is due to Black Eyed Peas' songs I Gotta Feelin and Boom Boom Pow not because of Gaga, Rihanna, or anyone else.
Nope, not at all. Actually, she's usually a foot behind, also being one of the only popstars who got publicly humiliated and failed launching their acting career. Sad!
So because she was beaten according to you she's a step back in life? Sickening. Get help.
