Silver Linings was a slow burner as a result of good buzz, good reviews, good word of mouth and Harvey Weinstein's wizardry.

She's yet to prove herself. She had the chance with House at the End of the Street and tanked (It's a terrible movie so we'll give her the benefit of the doubt on that one).

It's not that bad, the idea was kinda cool IMO but after reading the rest you wrote you're right about her.

Yes, Sandra is successful right now. But even when Natalie or Uma cant open a movie if their lives depended on it (as you put it), their outstanding acting in a few very exceptional movies made them more iconic than Sandra will ever be. And I dont mean it in a way that They are oh so great, no. I mean that Sandra with her long career isnt even as remembered as them
