Said I was gonna do 15 artists, but I decided to cut the list down to 10!

 | I discovered iamamiwhoami about a week ago, but I've been hooked since then. Well, lemme actually now say that's a lie, I've known about her, I remember seeing some of her videos on YouTube at the beginning when no one knew who she was and people thought it was a viral thing. But in the past week I've discovered Kin, and it's one of the most amazing albums I've heard. With that in mind, let me just say, it didn't make my top 10 list. Why? Because I felt it was wrong to cut an album out for one that I'd been listening to for a short while for one that might have no longevity for me.
Anyway, the experimental dance music (if that's what you want to call it?) that iamamiwhoami makes is just gorgeous. I could listen to it all day and not only be bopping and singing along, but it's so relaxing at the same time. It's a perfect mix, in some songs more than other, that makes it so easy to listen to. I wish I could have discovered her earlier so she could have got a higher ranking on the list. |

 | I've never really appreciated Ke$ha as an artist. I remember, way back in 2009, when my friends first let me hear the song, and I didn't really think much of it back then, it wasn't the type of music I was known to listen to, but I liked it. Then it gradually started getting bigger and she kinda exploded. I never got into her like I got into other artists, especially when I started getting into pop music. I would like her singles that I heard on the radio, but never checked out her album or anything like that. I got her album at the time it was re-released with Cannibal, but never properly started using it till this year, when the hype for her second album happened.
She's a decent artist. She's fun and her music is fun and that's what it's liked for. I don't like when she goes out her comfort zone, nor do I think she should, the pop music she makes is good and that's what she should stick to. I prefer Warrior a lot more to Animal + Cannibal, you can clearly see it's a step up from it, even if it's a little one. K$ is pretty cool. |
