The album is a grower, not a shower. That being said it's easily the best mainstream CD released this year. I love every bit of it & can listen to it from start to finish without skipping a song.

It's a pretty damn good album in my opinion. She's pulling ahead from the rest of the pack, especially in the sound department. Nobody in pop's doing what she's doing in terms of music, especially with Unapologetic. It's not better than Rated R, but it's one of her better ones easily.

The good: It's fresh, brash, experimental, intriguing. Sonically quite innovative and typically varied. Well produced and very Rihanna. It shows personality and character and progression.

The bad: Sometimes it's too brash, the album's themes are often repetitive and shallow. Right Now doesn't fit. It's not perfectly cohesive. Some of the features are retarded (CB's appearance is terrible and Eminem's verse is weak).
