Stop using famous people as examples -- 15 kids dropped out of my class; not one of them will be famous. One has already died, another has a court hearing coming up, the list goes on.

Do I care if people don't finish high school? Nope! Not one bit. Do I expect much to come of them? Nope! Not one bit.

My thought it unless you have plans to go to the military or you're very wealthy you shouldn't do it.
Everyone should finish school, regardless though imo.

Well, I am in no position to judge what anyone does with their education. I completed high school, but that doesn't mean I'm a superior person to anyone who didn't go all the way. Everyone is entitled to take their own pathways in life, so if high school wasn't the right option, then so be it. I really don't see it as a big deal.

My friend did this and it PISSED me off so much. The reason why she did it was because she became haughty and was telling everyone she was graduating a semester early. Well she got TOO cocky and ****ed up her grades BIG time to where she couldn't graduate early. She felt so embarrassed that instead of just staying the extra semester, she dropped out. I stopped calling her my friend after that. And guess where she's at right now? Working at a gas station because she couldn't finish 1 semester. ONE FREAKING SEMESTER!!!

Sightly off topic, but can anyone explain the US education system in relation to the UK system.... like what is High School? Is it like Secondary School here?

Just so I can understand the level in which these people are dropping out.

Depends on the reason why they dropped out of high school. I know some people who drops out of high school because they can't afford money which I understand. However, most people I know who were dropouts are just plain stupid, lazy & have no direction in life. I have no sympathy to people like that. They deserve it.

I don't know anything about the UK school system, but High School is 9th (Freshman) through 12th (Senior) with ages ranging from 14-18.

Not all high school drop outs are dumb.

Avril is a drop out. I don't blame her or anyone who gets a multimillion dollar contract. People who just drop out to do nothing with their life annoy me though.

Personally I don't have respect for them. They expect the world to cater to them, so they flunk out of everything I think they don't need school because they're the **** and then end up having no real life because all they're doing is just flipping burgers at McDonald's and they aren't going anywhere ever.

But if that's what they want more power to them. In the mean time I'll be going to college and excelling at a career in public relations and working for Disney's media department where I'll be making **** loads of money and I'll be rolling in dough. Again, if that lifestyle isn't want they want then I respect that decision, it's their life they're entitled to it.

Drake was a high school drop-out and he still displayed intelligence and class even before he decided to graduate. A High School diploma is nothing more than a document, it doesn't really represent how intelligent you are. College is a different story of course.

Some of yall are judgmental assholes. There are ton of High School dropouts who are smart and successful people. But I guess some need to put others down to make themselves feel better.
