If any of ya'll think meat is a necessary food in your diet then you need a reality check. Studies consistently show vegan/vegetarian diets are healthier, and that people live longer, fuller lives when they stop eating animals. There are other sources of protein and iron. Unless you have some chronic food allergies or something then no, meat is not necessary at all.
@Nicole: So just go vegetarian then. But that's not the point I'm trying to make. I'm not one of those annoying preachers who yell at people who eat meat. I think it's a personal decision and it's totally understandable if you love a good steak. I don't, but that's just me.
It would be hypocritical of me, however, to criticize people who wear fur. I see no difference. Neither are necessary, that's all. There are sustainable alternatives like growing your own food. It's hard, but all I'm saying is that meat isn't necessary. That much is a fact.
