Warned Quote redacted
If you can't get the difference between a joke at a comedy club and a threat over the internet, I feel really sorry for you.

This was pathetic. He's never been funny, but his inabilities aside, this was just immature and completely uncalled for.

I actually enjoy Tosh, though admittedly, he tends to push the limits A LOT. And by a lot, I mean A LOT. He often rides the border between funny and extremely, uncomfortably offensive. But that's his schtick. That's kind of his whole thing. I'm not saying it was acceptable (in fact most of the things he jokes about on his show aren't), and he obviously realized that, hence his apology. But again, I'm sure most people at that show went into it knowing who they were going to see and what to expect.
Watch his show for 10 minutes and you'll see that this is his act in general. Most of the time he's offending someone in some way, shape or form.

Oh and by the ****ing way, there are NO funny rape jokes and to insinuate otherwise while condemning Daniel Tosh is hypocritical to the max

But what he said (assuming this is true) was completely out of line and disrespectful even though it made me laugh.

I agree 100%
Rape JOKES can be funny sometimes, and even though I laughed after what he said, I felt kinda embarrassed for Tosh. I'm surprised the audience didn't gasp or boo him...

I honestly can't at some of you thinking rape jokes can ever be funny. And then laughing at what he said.

Depends. Rape jokes that mock the rapist and/or society's ignorant attitude towards rape? Yes, they can be funny because they're making a relevant point. Rape jokes that mock the victim and trivialize the experience? Those are the ones that are never, under any circumstance, funny. Unfortunately it's the latter that seems to be more popular.

Exactly. Mocking a rapist while making a point about how society is hypocritical about rape? Can be hysterical and even important. But making a joke about the victim? Wishing that an audience member gets raped in front of you so you can laugh at her? ... not so much.

No one said "rapist" jokes. They said "rape".
As in the act of rape.
Not funny

This definitely wasn't funny at all But neither are majority of the things Tosh jokes about on a regular basis. I don't get why anyone is acting surprised. His whole scthick is basically being offensive and saying taboo ****. So basically, while this is definitely overboard and offensive, what else does one expect from a Daniel Tosh show? Has nobody ever seen his show?

I've always found it DEEPLY disturbing- NOT that people make rape jokes (which are usually hilarious as ****) but that people take the rape jokes so seriously as if they live in a world where every joke is to be taken 100% seriously. NOBODY finds the actual act of rape to be funny. It's the usage of the subject in the context of a JOKE that could make it funny. A lot of people are horribly ignorant when it comes to comedy that goes beyond fart jokes, knock knock jokes, or somebody getting hit in the crotch.
Let me say this. If tosh makes a joke about rape, no one's actually going to get raped, no one's actually going to get hurt. On the other hand, when a guy gets hit in the nuts on america's funniest home video, that guy goes through actual real pain, and people laugh and its fine. That's ****ed up to me. Comedy is subjective, everything can be made funny if you keep an open mind, and that bitch did not have the right to speak up and interrupt a comedian in mid performance. Besides, tosh has done WAY WORSE controversial things. What the **** was she doing at his show?

He's a joke himself, but the woman should have known what she was getting into when she bought the ticket.
He won't change, the audience still laughs at his crass self, life goes on.
