People make such a big deal about sex in general, and it really annoys me. You get virgins who think they are supreme members of society because they are all pure, mighty and innocent by saving themselves for marriage, then you get these *****s or sleazebags who arrogantly brag about the 849493 people they've slept with. The problem is that people are too open about sex and make too much of it. Sex is personal and it's ultimately the individual's choice. There is no right or wrong. Being a virgin is not bad, nor as not being a virgin either. Society created the stereotypes and stigmas. People should just keep things to themselves and not brag either way.

I don't typically consider myself a very traditional person, but I do believe in waiting til marriage. I know I wouldn't want to marry a girl and be like "who else has she done this with?"

That said, I still have mixed feelings on the issue; I want to wait until I'm married- or, at the very least, in a serious and committed relationship- but I also have a feeling I may never get married. But then again, I don't really have any interest in having sex...

The first time will always be awkward and potentially boring, depending on who it's with and where/when/why. That's why I don't understand why people wait for somebody they truly care about. Wouldn't you want to be slightly experienced and know what to expect, that way you'll know for sure if you're really into them and if you're ready to commit?

While that makes logical sense to me, I'm a romantic. I'm basically unable to just have sex for fun. Unless someone I had a crush on wanted to sleep with me, I couldn't imagine ever wanting to have a one-night stand. It's actually uncomfortable for me to think about how I could get in that situation--I might prefer to be a more casual person with romance and dating, but dating/sex for dating/sex's sake just doesn't come naturally to me. I'm not looking for the experience. I'm looking for the person.
