The ‘screwed up’ excuse is silly, since the song was available as a digital download everywhere. It was a smash in the US, a hit in the UK and Australia, but that was it. It had minimal influence outside of those countries. You need to get over it and stop trying to make it happen, since she’s had other and much bigger (and better) worldwide hits, so it’s not a problem. The choreography/video is iconic, that should be enough.
