Haven't listened to that J-Hud song, but I enjoy the other three, even if the only reason I enjoy that Tinie song is Ellie's contributions...and I'm glad to see that you agree.

45. DRAKE - MAKE ME PROUD (featuring NICKI MINAJ)
In a countdown where Drake's songs are certainly taken care of, this is the best track to first include on the countdown. This song is something I considered unusual for Drake until I heard the rest of the album - he's actually doing a club banger! (his debut album had none of those) With a wonderful hook and first verse, the listener is then introduced to Nicki Minaj's best guest verse of the year and also her best guest verse since Bottoms Up last year. She comes dangerously close to stealing the spotlight. My one problem with the song - why is there no third verse? It's too short.
44. FLORENCE + the MACHINE - BEDROOM HYMNS
This album is amazing, and this song is a perfect first example of its magic. The beginning teases to the absolutely monstrous chorus that begs to be turned up at full volume. Her falsetto tone is simply magnificent - get into it. It's like a sister to Lung's Drummer Boy - only better. I hope 2012 brings about a video for this song.
43. PISTOL ANNIES - HELL ON HEELS
Country at its best - and what is so refreshing is that this sounds so different from the pack. Much like pop music, country music has a tendency to sound very similar to each other - only, for me personally, I have a hard time picking out the differences between similar-sounding country songs, so they all end up sounding the same. This doesn't, rather it sounds that much better because its unique. It's dark, mysterious, and features harmonies most people could only hit with hours and hours of practice. Looking forward to more from this group (I like Miranda Lambert).
42. LIL WAYNE - MIRRORS (featuring BRUNO MARS)
Tha Carter IV is one of the most undeservedly hated albums of 2011 - and this song proves why it should be respected. Weezy's verses are on-point and obviously come from a dark, reflective place, while Bruno croons the chorus with a relatable tone. This is a seemingly odd combination of musicians, but it works so well. With two Hot 100 constants on one song, it's bound to be a "love it or hate it". The former is achieved.
41. NICKI MINAJ - ROMAN IN MOSCOW
Buzz single achieved. Let's be honest - we are all getting tired of Onika's sugar-pop (I'm looking at you, Super Bass) & tacky uhhh... Barbie outfits. It's time for the other side to come back, and oh, did it come back strong. It's like Roman ate that Barbie up with a single gulp (he ate her brains!) . With bizarre, yet clever, lyrics, this make me so excited for Roman Reloaded. Time for Barbie to return to the dollhouse, & Roman to return to her empire.

Make me proud and keep up the good work the rest of the way.
P.S.: The lovefest given to Flo-Flo so far is actually HELPING her out on some of my lists. Weird.

40. LIL WAYNE - MEGAMAN
The second entry from TCIV on the list so far, this song is essentially a direct relative of 6 Foot 7 Foot, aka my favorite Lil Wayne song to date. The bass is amazing, Lil Wayne's verses are full of passion, anger, and clever rhymes, and it all adds together for a great result. It immediatley became a highlight of the album, & it's only appropriate that its relative follows it on the tracklist. I'm hoping this is giving the urban-single treatment in 2012, but sadly, my thought is that Blunt Blowin' will be given single treatment instead (a song that's okay at best - nothing compared to this)
39. COLDPLAY - PARADISE
I have a complicated view of Coldplay's discography as a whole. Some of it is absolutely fantastic (A Rush of Blood to the Head, this album), but some of it is very try-hard & the result is boredom (Viva la Vida & X&Y). Speaking of Viva la Vida, I didn't like that album at all, so hearing the new album made me nervous. I ended up loving Mylo Xyloto better than any of their albums since AROBTTH, & I'm so glad Paradise got the single treatment. With a very relaxed beat, Martin's vocals are what have all the effect. Scratchy yet at the same time clear as day, there is heartbreak and emotion to be heard. It's reminscent of X&Y but an improved version of that entire album. The US never caught in to it, but it hit #1 on UK iTunes.
38. RIHANNA - WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN
This song would've been higher a month ago. And it is amazing. However, it did get old quicker than it should've, which is the biggest flaw it has. Aside from that, this song is nothing compared to We Found Love, but Calvin certainly still did an excellent job (especially with that breakdown!) . This will most likely smash in 2012, so be ready, cause I am.
37. NAS - NASTY
It's a shame no one paid attention to this song, but you all need to. It's easily has one of the best lyrics and rhyme schemes of 2011. With an old school sound, it's fire from start to stop, with little to no break included. Seriously, look up this song.
36. BEYONCÉ - END OF TIME
I didn't like this first, but it took me HQ quality to fully appreciate this song for being such a strong addition to her discography. It's funky. It's different. It's Bey. With a verse that will have anyone belting along (loovvveeee you like craaaaaaz-E) & a stuttering part that instantly gets stuck in your head, who could resist? We're all waiting for that video now.

Okay, it's official, WHYB is never leaving my head. Ever.
And "Paradise" won't, either, but I don't mind that, for some reason.
