One spot ahead of Kelly is a fellow American Idol alumni, Daughtry. "Break the Spell" still holds that signature Daughtry sound that features formulaic ballads with heartfelt and dramatic lyrics, and a few heavier rock tracks that tell of stories of triumph and victory. "Renegade" is a perfect opener to set an exciting mood, while "Crawling Back To You" follows in a rather softer form. A lot of the other tracks take me back to the debut album days, with "We're Not Gonna Fall," "Start of Something Good" and "Crazy" sounding a lot like "It's Not Over" and "Over You." A personal favorite of mine however is "Losing My Mind." It is generic, but I believe its one of the strongest among the ballads. I also love the title track "Break The Spell" and the very engrossing "Spaceship," which comes with the classic Daughtry sound that the core fan base has grown accustomed to throughout the years.

I confess I ignored Jessie J at first, but upon seeing her YouTube live vids, the impression of her being just another pop wannabe all disappeared at once. I can say that Jessie J is not the typical female pop artist that we have today, because she could offer not only catchy pop tracks, but also show-off an amazing vocal ability. And this what easily is the album "Who You Are's" asset is - along with the poetic and smart lyrics. This album shows a lot of her attitude and style. "Price Tag" without a doubt is crafted to become a sure-fire hit. It just has a very strong recall with all of the repeated portions it almost is like a chant. She also brings in more cool and light feel with "Abracadabra." "Nobody's Perfect" is a favorite of mine, and underrated by a lot, and the tracks "Who You Are," "Rainbow," "Who's Laughing Now" and "Big White Room" are great additions to the album that reflects her new found confidence and strength. Some of the tracks are a bit forgettable but all in all this is a nice pop record worth keeping.
