It was during the Vietnam war, I think the My Lai incident was in 1968 to be exact and it was a murder by the US Army in Vietnam village made up of men, women, and children. All of the villagers died, and this picture was released to the public, who were already against the war. It angered many people and was probably the turning point in pulling out of Vietnam. Over 350 women and children especially were killed for no legitimate reason
