What trends does GaGa set? As far as I know, people appreciate her "fashion" on HER, but wouldn't want to be caught dead in it themselves. I really can't think of one trend she's set. There's no denying she's an icon though; however, there are those celebrities who've had EVERYONE (famous or not) rocking their looks such as Madonna and Rihanna. Anyway, I'm not going to go into my thoughts about GaGa's fashion because I'd probably get reported. I just don't think she's made as big of an impact on fashion as her fans and the media perceive.

It is not like she is wearing Gap or Old Navy. What are people going to do, buy a meat dress at the mall? Her impact on fashion may go above your head, but it does not go above the heads of fashion people who matter (not to sound rude). Trending setting doesn't just place at your local mall among 12 year old Bieber fans. The trends take place in the fashion world too; some of which Gaga is inspired by or vice versa.
I remember Britney's belly button piercing and her jeans, I don't know about the rest of the World but here, 90% of the girls were copying her on that, she def had a big influence.
And how is Gaga influential? People may appreciate her fashion but she doesn't inspire no one on fashion choices.

Not really, when Riri decided to go edgy so did lots of girls who were inspired by her. She made the buzz-cut thing popular again and even now lots of girls are painting their hair red after they saw the queen do it.

Uh Britney should not be on there. She have been replaced by Gwen Stefani, who is a far better trend setter.

Late-Night Rant: I'm so tired of reading "lists" and whenever Britney Spears is included in a list, the writer always, always doesn't talk about what the list is about and, instead, focuses on Britney Spears' breakdown for a large majority of her segment on the list. It could be on some MTV list, some Yahoo! list, some Times list, whatever the list may be, the writer spends the biggest chunk talking about her spiral, rather than why she is actually on the list. Every.single.time. It always comes off as if the writer is regretfully putting her on "the list" and is forced to talk about her. In that case, I'd rather not have her be part of the list at all if writers can't be professional. What does her conservatorship and "fall from grace" have to do with fashion? Why is that being brought up? It's lazy, unprofessional writing and irrelevant to what the list represents.

Did I say the article didn't talk about Britney's fashion? No. I said the article mentioned her conservatorship and alluded to Britney's 2007 hardships which is not relevant to why she is on the list. And a good third of her segment focused on that. Read every other single person's segment on this list. The writer chooses to only go personal on Britney Spears' segment. And that's always the case with any list Britney Spears is on. Why doesn't the writer talk about Marilyn Monroe's alleged affair with Kennedy and her overdose? Or Jennifer Aniston's breakup with Brad Pitt? Or the drug problem that took control over one of the Olsen Twins? Or Lady Gaga's meat dress and copyright allegations? Or Rihanna's altercation with Chris Brown?
Exactly.

Oh please! More iconic than her school girl outfit? More iconic than her 00' and 01' VMA outfits? More iconic than her Toxic crystals outfit? PLEASE! Some people just like to stay mentioning and stay kicking Britney, even when she's doing better.
