1. My Perogative: more a show of Britney's personality and studio charisma than anything else. She really brings her presence to this song and it's a very successful cover. Just fun.
2. Not Myself Tonight: campy. Should be ******, but it isn't. Quotably quotable. And if you don't like it **** you.
3. Rockstar 101: the most eclectic, clearly. Not a pop song but still catchy. Very different for Rih.
4. Ring the Alarm: could've been an anthem. I think it's a little overproduced, but it's one of the standouts on B'Day.
I love "My Prerogrative"! It's a fantastic, sexy cover that didn't deserve to flop. "Not Myself Tonight" and "Rockstar 101" are both good as well, but "Ring the Alarm" is among my least favorite Beyonce songs. I find it too cacophonous to really be enjoyable.
a shame really
