Regardless of her background, she never insulted him in any shape or form. He could have expressed his distaste for her in a better way, but he didn't. This isn't the first time Elton John has publicly dissed someone and I'm pretty sure this will not be the last time he does just that. I just don't have sympathy nor respect for people within the industry who can't show any level of professionalism on their part. You don't have to like someone or like what they do, but you don't need to publicly berate them for it when they have not done a single thing to you.
I just don't respect those type of figures at all. That's why I only STAN or wish well for PROFESSIONALS who exemplify such characteristics of humility, kindness, and generosity. He can say such things in the confines of his close inner-circle of people, but to broadcast it for all to see...NOT CUTE! He becomes just as bad as what he dissed the person for.

I agree that what he said was unprofessional, but I also appreciate that he's not fake like the majority of celebrities. They're too superficial and narcissistic. His comments were uncalled for, he directly attacked people and he didn't have any right to do so, but he was expressing his own thoughts on today's perception of fame. It's been diluted, people are famous without having any talent to back it up and it really has altered the concept of what fame is. We all have our moments where we let loose and let our thoughts fly, it may happen on a regular basis as a far as Elton is concerned, but that does not mean we should forget what he's accomplished. He is a legend, he's entitled to his opinion. He could have put more thought into his word selection in order to avoid offending others, but sometimes it's not possible to say what you want without causing offence. Such is life.
